Grab Handle

The 2002 and earlier model years of Super Duties did not come

with a driver's side grab handle. Although, the steel A-pillar

does have the pre-stamped areas that later model years have,

for the mounting of a grab handle. This project was very easy

and offers a completely factory appearance when completed.



First, you need to purchase a grab handle for a 2003 or later

model year. Second, you need the two covers that cover the

screw heads. Finally you need to use some sort of fastener

that expands on the backside after being inserted through it's

hole. This is due to not having access to the back of the hole

when securing the grab handle to the A-pillar. Once the holes

are drilled, the plastic trim piece can be measured and cut to

accept the grab handle. The grab handle prevents the steering

wheel from being used to get in the truck. With the truck soon to

be about 16" higher, the grab handle is almost a necessity!
