Kodiak Sidewinder Steps

The Kodiak Sidewinder Steps are great! They are one of the first

things I put on the truck. They tuck up against the body when the

door is shut, and extend down when the door opens. This offers a

much improved ground clearance on the sides of the truck

compared to any other type of step. The step plates are aluminum,

and available in silver or black. I had the step plates powder

coated to match the body. Once the truck is lifted, the 12" extended

arms may be necessary, so the steps come down farther from the

body and reduce step in height.

Now that the suspension lift is closer to being installed,

actually getting in the truck will be a real concern. A

conservative estimate of the new height is about 16" higher than

the current ride height. This includes the step in height to the

surface of the Kodiak step plate. The new longer arms will

allow this step in height to be lowered by about 4".
